Seeing things as they actually are
Policies and procedures look different on paper than they do in practice. Physical location audits are meant to let Kellwright Group assess how well a nonprofit’s actual environment, safety conditions, staffing, and day-to-day operations line up with its stated standards.
These reviews would be conducted with care and respect for the people working there and the people being served, always with the goal of strengthening the organization, not assigning blame. A partner’s locations would be listed only with that partner’s permission.
What we would evaluate
- Physical safety and facility conditions
- Program delivery as observed on-site
- Staffing levels, supervision, and role clarity
- Record-keeping and documentation practices
- The experience and dignity of the people served
