None of this is running yet. It describes how we plan to work once Kellwright Group is formed and employment counsel has reviewed it.
- We describe the workThe result we need, by when, and what it involves.
- We run a classification checkWe check that the work can properly be done by an independent contractor.
- You get a written agreementScope, deadlines, pay terms, ownership, confidentiality, and data security, in writing before work starts.
- You do the workYou decide how and when. We look at the result.
- You invoice and we payPay follows the agreement.
Pay
We do not publish rates. Rates are set in each agreement. Contractors are paid as independent professionals, not through payroll, and we report those payments to the IRS as the law requires.
What we will not do
- Start work before there is a signed agreement
- Tie a contractor’s pay to a percentage of money raised
- Ask a contractor to handle information that could identify a person who uses a shelter
- Offer a role as a contractor role when it does not pass the classification check
