The Firebird Stabilization Model is the program a person moves through in a Firebird Holdings shelter. It has four phases, in order. Each phase makes the next one possible.

  1. StabilizationGetting steady after getting out of a bad situation.
  2. Emotional EducationThe emotional learning that has to happen before a person can start learning core skills and job training.
  3. Job StabilityCore skills, job training, and education support.
  4. IndependenceWhere the first three phases lead.

Who does what

Firebird Holdings’ shelter nonprofits run the shelters.

  • Stabilization: the shelter provides it.
  • Emotional Education and Job Stability: Kellwright Group plans to run them inside Firebird Holdings’ shelters, and to train partner shelters’ own staff to run them.
  • Independence: the person makes their own independence.
